I go one step further, and use the regular web page in my browser.
If I don't need to install something to use a web page on my computer, I see no reason to do any different on my phone.
Sure, several web pages serve a much worse version of they page when they determine you are using a phone, but I use the Fulguris browser (https://github.com/Slion/Fulguris), so I can easily set desktop browser mode and use custom user agent, so I get whichever version of the page that I want.
Open claw says: If your website is also an app and in a PWA format on your phone and you can add icon to screen, this has the same affect rather than downloading an app ...
Should be no disadvantage - has everyone found this correct ??
I do not browse the web from my phone. I use the phone for voice calls and limited texting with neighbors and a couple friends.

Web sites, yes. Full web apps as in PWA's ? No really, native apps tend to be a lot better.
I use Lichess pwa, i prefer it over their app.
